At Farm Vet Services we offer a 24/7 out of hour service to assist our clients with difficult calvings. As large animal vets, calving a cow could be described as the cornerstone call we go to. For good or ill we are often judged wholly or partly on these calls. We try to perform them to the best standard possible. Normal calvings, twisted calfbeds, head back, leg(s) down, true breach, backwards, deformed calves, rotten calves, water bellies, caesarean sections and even schistosomes, we have seen them all, and picked up a few tricks for sorting them along the way.
