This promotional pack contains Liquid Gold Dairy 2 x 2.5L plus a FREE drench gun. That is five litres of HVS chelated mineral and vitamin drench for dairy cows and heifers, supplied in two separate 2.5 litre containers.
What is in the twin pack?
- 2 x 2.5L HVS Liquid Gold Dairy (5 litres in total)
- 1 x FREE drench gun (normally £45)
Only this listing and the 5L + FREE Drench Gun offer include the gun. If you only need the drench, see the standard HVS Liquid Gold Dairy page.
Why choose Liquid Gold Dairy 2 x 2.5L?
Two smaller containers are lighter to handle around the parlour and the dry cow shed. They also suit herds that dose in batches, because one container can be opened for cows at drying off while the other stays sealed for the pre-service group. Similarly, a container can be kept at an out-farm where heifers are reared.
About the drench
HVS Liquid Gold Dairy is a liquid trace mineral and vitamin supplement, made for HVS Animal Health in Co. Down. The zinc, manganese and copper are supplied in chelated form. Because it is a nutritional supplement and not a veterinary medicine, it can be bought without a prescription.
Dose rate and timing
HVS guidance is a 100 ml dose at drying off, or four to six weeks before calving. Cows and heifers are also commonly dosed before first service. At 100 ml per cow, each 2.5 litre container doses 25 cows, so the twin pack doses 50. However, always follow the pack label.
