What is Selekt Re-ewe-venate?
Selekt Re-ewe-venate is a ready-to-use nutritional drench formulated specifically for pregnancy toxaemia (“twin-lamb disease”) and hypocalcaemia in late-pregnant or freshly-lambed ewes and does. It combines two fast-acting energy sources with minerals and vitamins proven to speed recovery.
Why choose it?
-
Unmatched energy hit – 70 g glycerol + 20 g propylene glycol per 100 ml dose quickly lift blood glucose and keep it elevated for up to 12 hours.
-
Dual metabolic cover – Calcium propionate tackles hidden or concurrent milk fever, while added potassium corrects hypokalaemia.
-
Rumen-friendly – Biotin and vitamin B12 stimulate rumen flora to restart appetite and cud-chewing sooner.
-
Vet-designed packaging – 1 L bottle supplied with cap, valve and spigot for clean connection to a drenching gun—no mess in the lambing shed.
When to use
Give at the first signs of twin-lamb disease, off-feed animals, or any ewe under metabolic stress in the last six weeks of gestation or the first week post-lambing/goating. Re-ewe-venate is also ideal as part of a flock-wide prevention protocol for high-risk, multiple-bearing ewes.
How it works
-
Glycerol & propylene glycol are rapidly converted to glucose by the liver, reversing hypoglycaemia and cutting ketone production.
-
Calcium propionate supplies both calcium and propionate (another gluconeogenic substrate), stabilising muscle function and rumen motility.
-
Potassium, biotin, vitamin B12 restore electrolyte balance and kick-start microbial fermentation for sustained feed intake.
Dosage & administration
-
Shake well.
-
100 ml orally via drench gun per 60–70 kg ewe; adjust pro-rata.
-
Repeat every 12 hours for severe cases, under veterinary advice.
-
Provide palatable forage and fresh water at all times.
Safety, storage & withdrawal
-
Zero meat & milk withdrawal – safe for use in dairy or meat animals.
-
Store tightly closed < 30 °C; do not freeze.
-
Keep out of reach of children.
