Synulox Lactating Cow
Product Description
Synulox Tubes (Synulox LC) – Intramammary antibiotic treatment for lactating dairy cows
Formulated to treat clinical bovine mastitis, Synulox LC is a potent broad‑spectrum intramammary suspension, combining amoxicillin, clavulanic acid and prednisolone. Each 3 g syringe delivers 200 mg amoxicillin + 50 mg clavulanic acid + 10 mg prednisolone, effectively combating common udder pathogens—including β‑lactamase producing Staphylococci, Streptococci, E. coli and more.
Its β‑lactamase inhibitor (clavulanic acid) deactivates bacterial resistance mechanisms, while prednisolone helps reduce inflammation and swelling without suppressing immune response.
Dosage & administration: After milking, cleanse the teat and infuse one syringe per affected quarter; repeat every 12 hours for three consecutive milkings.
Withdrawal periods: Milk—84 hours (approx. 7 milkings); meat & offal—7 days post-treatment.
Prescription required: A valid UK vet prescription (MRCVS) is mandatory for purchase.
