What is Panacur 10% Oral Suspension?

Panacur 10% Oral Suspension is a multi-species, ready-to-use fenbendazole wormer (100 mg/mL) for the treatment and control of gastrointestinal roundworms in horses, cattle and sheep. In horses it covers large & small strongyles, pinworm, ascarids, stomach/hairworms and bots (see SPC for full list).

Why choose Panacur 10%?
  • Trusted benzimidazole with activity against adult and immature nematodes; ovicidal against roundworm eggs.

  • Flexible equine programmes including a 5-day encysted cyathostomin course using the same 10% suspension.

  • Farm-friendly 1 L pack for multiple animals and yard dosing.

Dosage & Administration

Horses (single-dose routine):

  • 1 mL per 13 kg bodyweight (= 7.5 mg/kg fenbendazole). Example: 400 kg → 30 mL. Mix with feed or drench.

Horses (encysted small redworm / migrating large strongyles):

  • 5 mL per 64 kg once daily for 5 days (= 7.5 mg/kg/day × 5).

Cattle (oral drench):

  • 1 mL per 13 kg bodyweight (= 7.5 mg/kg).

Sheep (oral drench):

  • Follow SPC table for weight-band dosing (product label).

Accuracy matters: Weigh animals where possible and check drench-gun calibration before use.

Withdrawal Periods & Food-Chain Restrictions
  • Cattle: meat 12 days; milk 120 hours.

  • Sheep: meat 15 days; milk 168 hours.

  • Horses: not to be used in horses intended for human consumption.

Stewardship & Safety

Use as part of a vet-advised plan (FEC-based) to reduce resistance. Shake well before use. Keep away from watercourses and dispose of waste responsibly.
