What is the Selekt Cow Pump?
The Selekt Cow Pump is the power unit of the renowned Selekt System, designed to push large volumes of warmed electrolyte or energy fluid directly into the rumen quickly and safely. One person can rehydrate a downer cow or fresh-calver without IV access, saving valuable time in critical cases.

Directions
Mix the chosen Selekt Formula (or vet-prescribed electrolyte) in the bucket with 38 °C water.
Attach the Cow Pump to the bucket lid and connect the Selekt Drencher hose.
Insert mouth gag and hose as trained, then pump steadily until required volume is delivered.
For aspiration, connect hose to inlet side and pump until sample jar is full.
Rinse pump and bucket with warm water, allow to dry, and hang upside-down to drain.
Care & Maintenance
Disassemble weekly; inspect O-rings and gaskets. Replace worn parts immediately—spares are inexpensive and prevent downtime.
FAQ
Q: Does it work with other drenches?
A: Yes, any warmed electrolyte or nutritional drench up to 45 °C is fine, provided it is well mixed and free of lumps.
Q: How heavy is the pump?
A: The pump body weighs under 1.4 kg, so even when the bucket is full you can still operate it single-handedly.
